Opening of a Blog
Once upon a time. Isn’t that how all things start? Well, I certainly hope that this story ends happily ever after. I think that really depends on us. Here we are in a largely Republican area by the voting registrations. However, many of the cities (Hornell and Corning) have been lost to the Democrats. Also, the Republican Party after a strong showing nationally and statewide has lost a lot of its luster. Editorially, I would agrue that this is partly due to us as Republicans departing from some of the values and ideals that have made our party great.
Here we are as a group seeing some of the most rapid growth in the state of new york for Young Republican Clubs. Also, as a generation we’re finding our own (settling into careers, establishing families, and the like) and it’s time for us to make our mark. Our county and our localities need us to have a say and get involved.
Anyway, it’s not going to be all about us. It’s going to be always serious. I think it should be about other people as well. It should be about ideas.
